DaMona Safaris stands for unparalleled complete unburdening. With personal contact as a core value, we create unique, custom-made safaris that meet your needs and wishes. Our dedicated team provides meticulous planning and execution, so you can relax and enjoy your safari. We aim for absolute reliability and only work together with well-respected partners. With attention to detail, from the moment you book your trip until you depart from Tanzania, we offer you an unforgettable and enriching experience in this beautiful country, Tanzania.
Our company DaMona is an independent tour operator in the vibrant city of Arusha in Tanzania and is run by David Meta and Monica Elens. An exceptional collaboration of two cultures!
David was born and raised in Tanzania and because of his years of experience as a safari guide, he has an invaluable knowledge of the country, the nature and the tourist business. Monica is a Dutchwoman who fell in love with the country, the friendly people and the beautiful nature. She understands the wishes of European tourists. Over the years, she also has gone on a lot of safaris in Tanzania. In short, all of this – in combination with her work experience in organisation and planning – will contribute to the creation of an unforgettable trip!
Our extremely experienced guides and technicians David, Fredy and Kipepe are also essential. They are the face of our company and will tell you wonderful stories about the country and the culture, are always looking for the Big Five and more. All of this without losing sight of your safety. In addition, they possess the necessary knowledge of safari cars because the road to and in the parks can be bumpy and muddy.
We want to share our love for Tanzania with you and consider it a privilege to give you advise. Together we will combine your wishes and budget into a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Our involvement in the community
We, the DaMona team, largely come from Tanzania and want to advocate for local organisation and NGOs with whom we share the same passion. Within that framework, we support the NGO Reaching the Unreached Tanzania (www.rut-tz.org).
Through education to school children and the population, this organisation tries to increase awareness of health, sexuality and rights. They also support people like handicapped and elderly people by improving their living conditions (better education and food).
